Class Forums

Class Forums are the Forums for the Distance Learning Classes offered online at TorahResource. All students who are registered in a given Class are automatically given access to the Class Forum. The Class Forum is the place to ask questions and interact with other students in the class as well as with the Instructor.

During the registration process for online classes, each student must enter a Username and Password. Please use your real name for the Username. You can use first name + last initial, or first initial + last name, or first and last name. Do not use a "handle" or other "internet name" for the User Name when registering.

Only students enrolled in a class at the TorahResource Yeshiva may register in the Forums. After registering in a class Forum, each registrant must be verified. You will receive an email confirming your registration in the Forum of the class in which you are a student.

Forum Rules

1. Posts and responses to Posts must address subjects directly relevant to the Forum in which they are posted. Do not use the Forums to ask questions or discuss topics outside of the specific subject of a particular Forum. Posts or responses to posts that fall outside of the Forum’s subject matter will be deleted by the Moderator.
   
2. The following will not be tolerated:
   a. Personal attacks or derogatory remarks against other members of the Forum
   b. Vulgar language
   c. Lashon hara (gossip)
   d. Attempts to promote theologies and doctrines contrary to the Scriptures.
   
   
3. The Forums are not a place to promote other websites, other Forums or blogs, businesses, financial ventures, get-rich-quick schemes, and the like.
   
   
4. Disagreements and contrary viewpoints are welcomed, but these must be expressed appropriately without personal attacks (ad hominem arguments) and should reveal a genuine desire to seek the truth in the matter being discussed.
   
   
5. The final judgment as to whether a Post or a response to a Post is appropriate resides with the Forum Moderator. At the discretion of the Moderator, any Post or response to a Post may be deleted without the consent of the member who initiated the Post or responded to a Post.
   
6. Any member of the Forum who participates by Posting or responding to a Post accepts these rules by virtue of their participation in the Forum.
