In this article, Tim Hegg looks at the claim that the name “Yeshua” (Jesus in Hebrew) was changed to take out the name “Yah,” one of the names of God. Hegg looks at the Hebrew and shows that such claims are false and have no basis in the actual etymology and Hebrew language. Rather, the name Yeshua comes from the word “salvation” in the Hebrew.
