Tim Hegg, M.Div., Th.M.

Founder/ Writer

Tim graduated from Cedarville University in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Bible, with a minor in Philosophy. He entered Northwest Baptist Seminary (Tacoma, WA) in 1973, completing his M.Div. (summa cum laude) in 1976. He completed his Th.M. (summa cum laude) in 1978, also from NWBS. His Master’s Thesis was titled: “The Abrahamic Covenant and the Covenant of Grant in the Ancient Near East”. Tim taught Biblical Hebrew and Hebrew Exegesis for three years as an adjunct faculty member at Corban University School of Ministry when the school was located in Tacoma. Corban University School of Ministry is now in Salem, OR. Tim is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature, and has contributed papers at the annual meetings of both societies. Since 1990, Tim has served as one of the Overseers at Beit Hallel in Tacoma, WA. He and his wife, Paulette, have four children, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Rob Vanhoff, M.A.

Instructor/Theological Editor

Rob teaches courses on 2nd Temple Period, Rabbinic Literature, Judaism, Koine Greek, and Aramaic. He has delivered papers at conferences for both Evangelical Theological Society and the Society of Biblical Literature. Rob holds two degrees from the University of Washington: MA, Comparative Religion (2005) and BA, Near Eastern Languages & Civilization, with a minor in Music (2003).

Ariel Berkowits - M.Div

Instructor

Ariel received his B.S. from West Chester State University and Philadelphia Biblical University, and his M.Div from the Biblical Theological Seminary. He has attended Rodef Torah School of Jewish Studies and also holds a Certificate from Israel Institute for Biblical Studies in Exploring the Biblical Land of Israel. He has taught both full and part time at Israel College of Bible from 1992-2006. He is an adjunct professor with IBEX (Israel Bible Exchange program) since 1995. Ariel has been teaching at TorahResource since 2012, specializing in Tanach Studies with a special love for History and Biblical Geography. Ariel and his wife D’vorah reside in Arad, Israel.

Caleb holds a two-year certificate from TR-Institute and has take classes at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has written commentaries on the book of Acts and Colossians, and has been the co-host of Messiah Matters since its inception in 2012. 

Michael D. Gonzales

Website Content Coordinator / Graphic Designer

Michael holds an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Dallas. He has worked with various advertising agencies and design firms in Dallas, TX and Denver, CO. Michael oversees the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the TorahResource and TorahResource Learning Center websites. He is also responsible for the design of all print and online products including Torah reading and Festival schedules, social media posts, email announcements, book covers, dvd covers, and more.
