Textbooks: Daniel Wallace, The Basics of New Testament Syntax (Zondervan, 2000); Stanley E. Porter & Andrew W. Pitts, Fundamentals of New Testament Textual Criticism (Eerdmans, 2015); William Mounce, A Graded Reader of Biblical Greek (Zondervan, 1996).

Course Options: This class can be taken as a standalone class or can be taken as part of a certificate program.

Standalone: Completion of Beginning Biblical Greek is required in order to take this class. The study of Greek syntax as demonstrated in the koine Greek of the Apostolic Scriptures. Selected texts from the Apostolic Scriptures will be will be studied to illustrate the syntax being learned.

Program Path: This class is required for the 3-year program and counts as 2 quarter hours.

Course Requirements: Prerequisites: 503Grk. This class requires the ability to proficiently read Greek and the English language, listen to audio lectures, and basic knowledge of a computer with an internet connection. A live class each week is also required. Times for this class will be determined by the teacher and students.

Workload: The average workload each week is around four hours. This includes an hour-long lecture, assigned reading, as well as interaction in the class forum, and a weekly live class. A final exam is also required at the end of the class to complete the course.
