This commentary on the Bible book of Leviticus is intended for ‘ordinary’ people and for those that are interested in the original roots of faith. It will help to understand the text through the eyes of scholars, and to see the Scriptures from a Covenant perspective.

The first five books of the Bible are divided into 54 sections (parashot), and every week one parasha is read and studied by many people and groups. While doing this in a yearly cycle it reminds and refreshes God’s instructions for life, it shows the beauty of the gift of Messiah in the parashot and highlights the ongoing covenantal relationship of God with his people from Genesis to Revelation.

Each of the 10 parashot of Leviticus have a separate section with:

  • a topical description of that parasha and exegesis of the text in a ‘reader friendly’ manner
  • other opinions of important commentators and discussion thereof
  • comments on important Hebrew words
  • additional notes by chapter and verse
  • a set of study questions for home groups or self study
